WHY DO WE ALL BEHAVE IN THE WAY WE DO? This is the third in The Secrets of Life: From Big Bang to Trump series and the first one I have read.
I’ve never thought about game theorists having the answers to why humans behave the way they do, nor had I heard of Adam Smith economist and philosopher, so this was an opportunity to dive into unknown territory.
Having surfaced and although sometimes a little lost, I will reread this book as there is much detail shared by the author that I wouldn’t want to overlook. Indeed, now I am eager to read the rest of the series.
I found the discussion on the direction of cultural development leading to our so-called morality particularly interesting as I believe it holds us back, especially women. No wonder it’s tough to look after our self-care with these ingrained cultural attitudes about how we should behave.
Throughout the book, the overall message is that behaviour based on cooperation and collaboration has always been, and will be, vital to our success. Unfortunately, some humans being humans still don’t get it.
Will we always behave the way we do? Read this book and decide for yourself.
Gratitude to the author SS O’Connor and Literally PR for the opportunity to review Why Do We Behave In The Way We Do?
